Who it fits
Good fit for
This washer suits apartment dwellers, dorm residents, and campers who need a portable solution. Its compact size fits in closets or small utility areas. The full-automatic cycle with 10 programs allows you to set it and forget it. The built-in drain pump means you do not need a permanent hook-up. If you have medium-sized loads and limited space, this unit handles the job without requiring complex installation or dedicated plumbing.
Who should skip it
You should skip this model if you require a high-capacity machine for large families. The 17.7 lbs rating is a total volume limit, but the manual recommends an 8 lbs load for best results. Heavy items like comforters may not fit or clean properly. If you need a machine with a direct drain hose connection to a sink or floor drain, this unit relies on its built-in pump and tube, which may be less convenient for some setups. It also lacks advanced features like steam cycles or smart connectivity.
Verdict: The KRIB Bling 17.7 lbs Portable Washer is a practical, space-saving option for small households. Its full-automatic operation and compact footprint make it ideal for renters and students.
KRIB Bling Key Specs Explained
Capacity: 17.7 lbs
This figure represents the total dry laundry weight the drum can hold. The manufacturer recommends loading only 8 lbs of clothes at one time for effective cleaning. You should compare this limit to your typical weekly laundry volume. Overloading the machine can strain the motor and reduce wash quality. This capacity suits individuals or couples with moderate washing needs who do not have large families.
Wash Programs: 10
The control panel offers ten distinct cycles, including options for wash-rinse-spin, soak-wash-rinse-spin, and spin-only modes. You can adjust water levels and select specific routines based on fabric type. This variety allows you to handle everything from delicate items to heavy towels. Compare this to basic models that offer only standard cycles. More programs give you greater control over how your clothes are cleaned.
Drain Pump: Built in drain aluminum pump
An internal aluminum pump actively pushes dirty water out through the provided drainage tube. You do not need to manually tilt the unit to empty it. This feature simplifies the process, especially if the drain hose must reach a sink or bucket. Compare this to gravity-fed models that require physical effort to drain. The built-in pump saves you time and reduces physical strain during use.
Operation Type: Full-Automatic
This machine handles washing, rinsing, and spinning without manual intervention once you set the program. You can leave it running and attend to other tasks. It contrasts with semi-automatic units that require you to move clothes between tubs. This automation suits busy households or dorm living where convenience is key. You simply load clothes, add detergent, and press start for a complete cycle.
Design and Build Quality
The KRIB Bling 17.7 lbs portable washer features a grey finish and a compact footprint. According to the listing, the unit measures 19.9 inches wide, 19.7 inches long, and 33.7 inches tall. It weighs 46 pounds. These dimensions allow it to fit into tight spaces like dorm rooms or small apartments. The relatively light weight makes it easy to move around your home or department as needed.
The control layout is straightforward. You select from 10 wash programs using a push-button interface. A separate switch lets you adjust the water level. The model number KB03-GREY6 identifies this specific grey variant. You can choose other colors like gold or white, or opt for a larger 25 lbs version if your space allows.
The design includes a built-in aluminum drain pump and a drainage tube. This setup allows you to easily remove dirty water without manual pumping. The honeycomb-shaped inner tub supports the 17.7 lbs capacity. However, the manual advises loading only 8 lbs at a time for best results. This approach ensures effective cleaning while protecting the machine. The full-automatic operation means you set the program and let it work. You do not need to install it permanently. Just connect it to a water source and start your laundry.
Setup and Daily Operation Guide
You do not need to install this machine. The listing states there is no installation required, which simplifies the setup process significantly. You simply place the unit on a flat, stable surface. The compact dimensions of 19.9 inches wide and 19.7 inches long allow it to fit into tight spaces, such as a bathroom corner or a small apartment kitchen. The 33.7-inch height keeps it vertical without taking up excessive floor area. For daily use, the full-automatic operation means you do not need to monitor the cycle constantly. Once you load your clothes, you select from ten available programs. These include combinations like wash-rinse-spin, soak-wash-rinse-spin, or spin-only modes. You adjust the water level using a dedicated switch to match the load size. The honeycomb-shaped inner tub holds up to 8 lbs of clothes per cycle, despite the 17.7 lbs total capacity rating. This limit ensures effective cleaning without overloading the drum. When the cycle finishes, you use the built-in aluminum drain pump and the included drainage tube to remove dirty water. This feature is particularly useful for apartments or dorms where permanent plumbing connections are not available. You can move the 46-pound unit easily within your home or department. The straightforward controls and illustrations make operation simple, allowing you to set the program and attend to other tasks while the machine works.
Before You Buy This Washer
Owning this KRIB Bling unit requires you to manage its drainage manually. The listing confirms a built-in aluminum drain pump and tube, but you must ensure your sink or floor drain can handle the output. You will need to position the machine near a water source and a drain for both filling and emptying. Since it is a full-automatic model, you do not need to install hoses permanently, yet you must connect them for each cycle. Check that your electrical outlet is grounded and accessible. The compact size fits in apartments or dorms, but verify your space allows for the 19.9-inch width and 33.7-inch height. Keep the area dry to prevent slip hazards. This washer suits those with small loads, complementing other portable options by offering a balance of capacity and footprint. You should compare its 17.7 lbs total capacity against larger models if you wash bulky items frequently. Regularly clean the drum to maintain hygiene.
