Who it fits

Key specs for this dryer

Wattage: 850W

This power rating determines how fast the heating element warms the air. Higher wattage generally means shorter drying cycles for standard loads. You should check if your home circuit can handle 850 watts alongside other appliances. This level of power is typical for compact units, balancing speed with energy use in small living spaces.

Dryer Capacity: 1.5 cu. ft

This volume defines the maximum amount of laundry the drum can hold at one time. A 1.5 cubic foot size suits small batches, such as a few towels or a single outfit. It is not designed for large family loads. You will likely need to run multiple cycles to dry a week’s worth of clothes efficiently.

Dimensions: 28 x 22 x 18 inches

These measurements describe the physical footprint and height of the unit. You must ensure your laundry area, closet, or RV space can accommodate this width and depth. The height allows for stacking or fitting under counters. Measure your available space carefully before purchasing to avoid installation issues.

Drum Material: stainless steel

The interior drum is made from stainless steel, which resists rust and corrosion over time. This material is smoother than plastic, reducing the risk of snagging delicate fabrics. It also withstands high heat better, ensuring long-term durability. You can expect the interior to remain clean and hygienic with regular maintenance.

Number of Programs: 4

This count indicates the preset drying modes available, such as cool, warm, hot, and air dry. Each program adjusts temperature and airflow for specific fabric types. You can select the appropriate setting to protect sensitive materials or speed up bulky items. This variety offers flexibility without requiring complex manual adjustments.

Design and build details

The COSTWAY portable dryer features a stainless steel drum, which the listing highlights for its durability. This material choice suggests resistance to rust and wear over time, making it suitable for humid environments or frequent use. The exterior finish is silver, providing a neutral look that fits various interior decors. You can place the unit on firm horizontal ground or mount it on a wall or rack. The package includes two hanging brackets, plastic spacers, an exhaust connector, and screws in two lengths. This hardware allows for flexible installation options, though the bracket itself is not included in the box.

According to the listing, the unit weighs 37 pounds and measures 28 by 22 by 18 inches. This compact footprint and light weight make it easy to move between rooms or store when not in use. The small size is ideal for apartments, dorms, or RVs where space is limited. You can position it in tight corners without taking up significant floor area. The design prioritizes portability and efficient use of vertical space. This layout ensures you can integrate the dryer into small laundry setups or multipurpose rooms without clutter. The straightforward construction focuses on function, with clear mounting points and a simple exterior that is easy to clean. You benefit from a unit that is both sturdy and adaptable to your specific living constraints.

Setup and daily operation guide

Setting up this COSTWAY portable dryer is straightforward. The package includes two hanging brackets, plastic spacers, an exhaust connector, and screws in two lengths. You can place the unit on firm horizontal ground, mount it on a wall, or attach it to a rack. Note that the listing states the bracket is not included, so you must purchase one separately if you do not have compatible hardware. The unit weighs 37 pounds, which allows for easy movement during installation. Its dimensions are 28 by 22 by 18 inches, fitting well in compact areas like apartments, dorms, or RVs.

Daily use involves selecting from four automatic drying modes. The Cool setting runs for 0 to 20 minutes to lower the temperature of your clothes. The Warm mode operates for 30 to 120 minutes, providing drying and cooling to prevent wrinkles. The Hot setting runs for 120 to 200 minutes, designed for large quantities or bulky items. The Air dry function uses cool air for 0 to 80 minutes to freshen fabrics. You control the duration via the timer. The stainless steel drum ensures durability during these cycles. The listing notes that noise levels are minimal, meaning the operation should not disrupt conversations or sleep. This electric dryer requires a standard power source to deliver its 850 watts of heating power efficiently.

Before you buy this dryer

Before you buy, consider how this unit fits your routine. The 28 by 22 by 18 inch footprint requires clear space for airflow. You must ensure your electrical circuit supports 850 watts without tripping breakers. Check that your laundry area has a flat, firm surface or wall studs for mounting. Since the dryer lacks a built-in condenser or vent hose, you may need to purchase an exhaust connector separately if not included in your specific package variant. The stainless steel drum needs occasional wiping to remove lint. This model suits apartments, dorms, and RVs where space is tight. Unlike larger units, it handles smaller loads efficiently. Pair it with a compact portable washer for a complete laundry solution. Verify your water hookup and drainage options match your washer’s needs. This dryer complements other small appliances by offering quick drying cycles. It does not replace a full-size dryer for bulky items like comforters. Plan your laundry schedule around its four automatic modes. Cool down and air dry cycles help preserve fabric quality. Keep the area clean to maintain performance.

Check before you buy

• Verify your electrical circuit can handle 850 watts safely
• Ensure you have flat ground or wall studs for mounting
• Check if you need a separate exhaust connector for venting
• Confirm your space fits the 28 by 22 by 18 inch size
