Who it fits
Good fit for
This washer suits renters in apartments, dorm residents, and RV travelers. Its small footprint fits in condos or vacation homes where space is limited. You should choose this if you wash small loads frequently. The top-load design makes loading and unloading clothes easy. The faucet attachment means you do not need complex plumbing. It is also a good fit for small laundry rooms that cannot accommodate full-size units. If you need a portable machine for temporary housing, this model provides a practical way to handle daily laundry tasks efficiently.
Who should skip it
You should look elsewhere if you need to wash large loads. The 0.84 cu. ft. drum is too small for bulky items like comforters or large towels. If you prefer front-loading machines, this top-load design may not match your preference. Users who want advanced smart features or Wi-Fi connectivity will find this unit lacks those capabilities. It also does not include a dryer function. If you need a single unit that washes and dries clothes simultaneously, this portable washer is not the right choice for your needs.
Verdict: The Avanti 0.84 Cu. Ft. Top Load Washer is a practical, space-saving choice for small households and portable living situations. Its simple controls and faucet connection make it easy to use in tight quarters.
Key specs explained for this Avanti washer
Capacity: 0.84 cu. ft.
This volume defines the internal drum space. You can fit small loads, such as a few shirts or underwear, into this unit. It is not suitable for large items like comforters or bulky towels. This size suits singles or couples in small apartments who wash frequently rather than in bulk. Compare this capacity with full-size units that hold 4.0 cu. ft. or more when planning your laundry routine.
Loading Type: top load
You load clothes from the top opening. This design allows you to see inside the drum easily and add garments mid-cycle if needed. It avoids the bending required for front-loaders. The lid also stays open for air-drying the interior. This style is common in compact machines. Check if your laundry space has enough vertical clearance above the unit for the lid to open fully.
Width: 17.5 inches
This measurement shows how much floor space the washer occupies horizontally. At 17.5 inches, it fits into tight corners or narrow alcoves. You can place it in a bathroom, closet, or kitchen nook. Compare this width with standard washers that are often 27 inches wide. This narrow profile is essential for RVs, dorm rooms, or condos where square footage is limited and every inch counts.
Height: 31.3 inches
This vertical dimension determines how tall the unit stands. At 31.3 inches, it is shorter than many full-size washers. You can access the lid without straining your back. The lower center of gravity may improve stability during spin cycles. Ensure your ceiling or overhead cabinets provide at least this much clearance. This height makes it suitable for under-counter placement in some compact kitchen or utility setups.
Weight: 42 pounds
This mass indicates how heavy the machine is when empty. At 42 pounds, one person can move it for cleaning or storage. It is light enough for RV use where weight limits matter. However, it may shift slightly during high-speed spins. Place it on a level, sturdy surface to minimize vibration. Compare this with heavier units that require two people to move, which offers flexibility for temporary setups.

Before you buy this Avanti washer
Before you buy this Avanti washer, check your faucet compatibility. It attaches to standard sinks, so verify your hose thread size. You will need a dedicated power outlet nearby, as it does not use battery power. Keep in mind the 0.84 cubic foot capacity limits you to small loads. You cannot wash king-size sheets or heavy blankets in this unit. Plan for regular tub cleaning cycles to prevent odors in small spaces. This model fits well in dorms or RVs where space is tight. It sits alongside larger portable units in our 1 product guide. Choose this if you prioritize portability over volume. Ensure you have room for the 17.5-inch width and 31.3-inch height. The 42-pound weight makes it easy to move, but you still need a stable surface. Consider your laundry habits. If you wash daily, this compact size may require multiple cycles. It is ideal for light users who need a temporary or secondary washing solution.
